The long bed option is popular with trades people who are wanting to carry full sheets of plyboard (they fit in with the tailgate closed) and is also ideal for fitting two or three motorbikes in the back while still being able to tow a trailer. You can tow a Caravan or 5th wheeler with ease.

Cargo Management

An optional cargo management system utilizes sliding hooks and ‘c-channel’ tracks running along both sides and the front of the pickup box.

Each anchor in the configurable system can hold up to 500 lbs and can be fitted with optional side storage boxes or customised pull out storage trays.

Engine

The 3500 Features a 6.0 litre 355-hp  V8 and a heavy duty six speed auto as standard. Optionally, theres also the Duramax V8 engine  with 660 ft lbs of torque coupled to an Allison Six speed automatic transmission.

The Silverado 3500 is usually equipped with "dually" dual rear wheels at the rear and has a much stronger chassis.

Towing

The 3500HD Silverado HD models are all about towing big loads and with the smooth 6 speed Allison automatic transmission - it does it with ease.  The Silverado 3500HD does require a light truck license to drive it however also boasts tow ratings of up to an incredible 7,400kg!
